Suncoast Projects Recognized for Excellence

Post-Tensioning Institute’s (PTI) annual Technical Conference held April 30- May 3rd in Atlanta, Georgia, included a Project Awards Program, recognizing excellence in post-tensioning applications around the world in six categories:

Bridges | Buildings | Industrial/Special Applications | Parking Structures | Repair, Rehabilitation, and Strengthening | Slab-on-Ground

Amongst an abundance of entries, we are honored to announce two Suncoast projects selected as winners:

  • Award of Excellence (Parking Structures): Miami Design District City View Garage
  • Project of the Year: The Ritz-Carlton Residences Waikiki Beach, Phase 1

Suncoast Partners in Architectural History – Market Square Tower – the “Sky Pool”

Suncoast Post-Tension supplied unbonded post-tensioning products including the Suncoast SRS® (Stud Reinforcement System) as well as engineered installation drawings for this new luxury high-rise apartment building in Houston, TX.

The infinity pool of Market Square Tower, also known as the Sky Pool, is on the 42nd floor and extends 10 feet over the side of the building.
Heart-pounding footage shows a brave resident walking around with ease on the 8-inch thick plexiglass while captivated online viewers watch in terror or amazement.
