SUNCOAST STUD REINFORCEMENT SYSTEM (SRS)®

The SRS is a form of headed shear stud reinforcement that uses punching shear resistor (PSR) studs welded to flat steel bars. These SRS assemblies offer punching shear resistance in flat reinforced concrete slabs and footings, replacing or supplementing resistance offered by stirrups, drop panels or column capitals. The Suncoast SRS, as described in ICC Evaluation Report ESR-2708, conforms to ASTMA1044 and to the ACI 318 Building Code as required by the International Building Code.

SRS Material Qualities

PSF studs are 3/8, 1/2, 5/8 and 3/4 inches in diameter. Their minimum physical properties include 51,000 psi yield strength and 65,00 psi tensile strength. Formed from carbon steel, the flat bars’ minimum physical properties include 44,000 psi yield strength and 65,000 psi tensile strength.
