Overview

What is Suncoast Stud Reinforcement System (SRS)?

The SRS is a form of headed shear stud reinforcement. It features Punching Shear Resistor (PSR) studs welded to flat carbon steel bars, forming assemblies that resist punching shear in flat reinforced concrete slabs and footings. These assemblies are engineered to replace or supplement traditional reinforcement methods such as stirrups, drop panels, and column capitals.

Standards and compliance

The Suncoast SRS is fully compliant with:

  • ASTM A1044
  • ACI 318 Building Code
  • ICC Evaluation Report ESR-2708

These certifications ensure the system meets the structural requirements outlined in the International Building Code (IBC).
